Anthony was craving some ice cream, so we stopped at a stand for a "flavor burst combo cone". It was basically soft serve ice cream with swirls of flavor mixed in - like banana, mint, raspberry. The boys were so happy when they got their ice cream.
The guys decided they wanted a picture with the seal too, but somehow it just doesn't look right...
While we enjoyed our ice cream we walked through the park across the street from the boardwalk. The boys decided to be silly and take pictures with some of the war relics in the park.
This picture is wrong on so many levels...
Close-up of Phil's battle cry. It's a little hard to take him seriously with that ice cream cone in his hand...

We found some swings for Su-Kyi to play on, but you know Phil, he just had to join in. But I think he got a little stuck...
After our antics in the park we headed over to the "Perry's Victory and International Peace Memorial".
We didn't end up heading to the top of the monument, so we settled for taking pictures just outside the monument instead.

Phil decided to get in a quick power nap while we decided what to do next.
We decided to make a stop at another ice cream place before leaving the island. This time it was regular ice cream instead of soft serve. Phil and I ordered a double scoop, but who knew it would be so big?! We tried 2 flavors - Lake Erie cherry and Graham Central Station. The Graham Central Station tasted just like graham crackers - very yummy. I think we officially filled our ice cream quota for at least a month.

In order to understand what happens next I need to explain first. Steve had informed us about a new Pepsi offer that is going around where you can collect Pepsi bottle caps to redeem free Nintendo Wii points. Ever since then both of them have been scouring their offices and other random places to find people's unwanted bottle caps.
When we got to the bus stop Steve found a Pepsi bottle that was left behind on the floor, so he decided to grab the cap. That's when Phil noticed several empty bottles in the garbage can...Now, Phil being the clean guy that he is you would think he would have stayed away from the garbage can, but I guess nothing can get in the way of him and his Wii points...
Phil came up with an idea that involved him tilting the garbage can to try and get the bottles out, until a giant swarm of ants started pouring out from underneath the garbage can. Needless to say that ended Phil's foray into the garbage and the poor bottle caps were left unredeemed. But don't feel too bad, Phil was able to talk the bus driver into giving him 2 of her unused bottle caps.
Then it was back on the ferry back to Sandusky.
We ended the day at a Thai restaurant called Thai House for dinner.
We had 2 different plates of fried rice...
