NYC and Tam's Birthday Dinner

Phil's cousin, Lydia, was in town from California so we headed into the city to have lunch with his family. We went to the "Famous Sichuan" restaurant right across the street from the Joe's Shanghai in the Manhattan Chinatown.

Phil's Aunt Ruby was very happy to see Calvin.

They have soup dumplings here too, but they're not as good.

Calvin was super fussy and, surprisingly, even though we were in a loud restaurant, I managed to get him to fall asleep before doing a hand-off to Phil.

Phil is better at multi-tasking eating and holding sleeping baby.

Out like a light...

After lunch Calvin woke up and was hapily smiling in his baby carrier, looking at all of the NY sights.

We took a quick walk, had some ice cream, and then headed back to cousin Lucia's place.
Sleeping definitely runs in the family. Phil and Lydia fell alseep for a post-lunch nap.

Calvin won't let anyone sleep for too long though. As soon as I sat him down on the couch he started trying to wake up Phil.

While he was waiting for daddy to wake up he had a nice chat with Lucia.

Next it was on to eating his own feet...

And when he was done eating his feet he moved on to playing with Lydia's feet.

After we got home my family came over for dinner to celebrate my brother-in-law's birthday. We ordered Japanese from Mr. Pi's. With 2 babies in the house it's much easier to order in than take them out to a restaurant.

Being at home has the added bonus of toys to keep the babies occupied while the adults eat.
