Laundry Room Renovation

Though the major renovations on the house were done before we officially moved in we still have little projects that we're working on. One of which was renovating the laundry room. The previous owner had built a small room into part of the garage to enclose the washer/dryer, but they did a sloppy job, so we enlisted the help of Phil's dad again.

Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to take a picture of what the laundry room looked like beforehand with the appliances still in. But this is what it looked like after everything was taken out and Phil's dad had already ripped down some of the old shelving. I managed to get Phil in this shot too, although I'm not quite sure what he's pointing at...

Here's the back wall of the laundry room where Phil's dad took down the flimsy shelving unit that was up, and where the washer, dryer and sink were.

This is what it looked like after Phil's dad covered some of the exposed concrete with dry wall and we repainted the walls.

And here's the finished product! Complete with newly tiled floor. The dryer kind of looks out of place next to the new washer, but it still works so it gets to stay for now.

We didn't end up putting any shelving back up on the wall. Mainly because it wouldn't be easily accessible, so we got a nice little wheeled cart instead that fits nicely between the dryer and the wall.

Oh the excitement of homeownership. ^__^
